Date: Tuesday, 01st Apr 2025 | Category: General

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families in Oxfordshire? If this sounds like you, we have an opportunity for you to join our committed Business Unit.

About the Role

The Senior Administrative Support Officer is essential in managing the day-to-day operations of the business unit. This role provides high-level senior business support to ensure the effective operation of the business unit through the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (OSCP).

About us

The OSCP is dedicated to ensuring that services are delivered effectively and timely to keep children safe and support their well-being.

Our partnership includes three key agencies with statutory safeguarding responsibilities: Oxfordshire County Council (Children, Families and Education), Health (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board), and Thames Valley Police.

Under the guidance of the “Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023” framework, these agencies collaborate to define and implement local Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements. Other agencies are also required to cooperate with these new arrangements.

The partnership works with all relevant organisations to protect and promote the welfare of children and young people in Oxfordshire.

About you

In this unique role, you will report directly to the Business Manager and engage with all partner agencies. You will represent the partnership and Business Manager, interacting with a wide range of individual and organisational contacts involved in safeguarding across the public, private, voluntary, and independent sectors. Your responsibilities will include liaising with elected members, chief officers, directors, and heads of service to support the statutory functions of the Partnership, as outlined in the “Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023” framework.

Rewards and benefits

As part of our team, you’ll benefit from the following;

•Vivup benefits platform

•Vivup highfive recognition platform

•Cyclescheme (for eco-conscious commuters)

•Electric vehicle lease scheme

•Discounts at local retailers

•Salary finance options

•Up to 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays)
